Kenya was staring at a ban from IOC after Nock executive members ganged up to shoot down a proposal to pass the negotiated constitution.

The new reforms will pave way for new fresh Nock elections and this might end the era of the long serving president Dr. Kipchoge Keino.

The Nock officials had failed to adopt the revised constitution during it last sitting on March 7, 2017.

According to Aaron Komen, the sports Administrator at the Ministry of Sports and culture, it was a nice decision by Nock to adopt the reforms at a time when the country was staring at a ban from IOC.

“Thank you all members for your support and we shall have a report sent today,” Nock First Vice-presidents Ben Ekumbo said.

He added that Nock should learn to do things in a different way and accept change for a better future of the Athletics in the country.

The Nock elections will be held May 5, 2017.
