Westgate Shopping Mall
This mall best personifies the phrase ‘Down but not out’ West gate shopping mall used to be the number one shopping mall in Nairobi, that is until the dreadful terrorist attack in 2013.
The mall as a result was closed for two years but reopened again in 2015, after extensive renovations and refurbishments.
The new Westgate is slightly smaller than the original but it has certainly not lost its charm and touch. Security is now tighter, which is a good thing plus it still has great stalls with local and international brands, supermarkets, great food courts, cool cafes and Cinema theater, it is well worth a visit.
Shopping here is also making a bold statement that, yes! No amount of terror will force us to change our lifestyles, we are proud shoppers who will not cower in fear, celebrate your freedom this weekend, by visiting Westgate shopping Mall
