The use of baking soda for acne treatment is a simple and effective solution that cause peeling of the skin and hence removal of excess sebum and dead skin cells.

Method:

In a bowl mix 2 teaspoons of baking some lemon juice to create a paste. Wash the area that you want to apply the paste and dry. Apply the baking soda and lemon juice paste and leave to dry for a few minutes. The paste should not be left for long because it may cause intense drying. Wash the paste off with some warm water and dry with a clean towel.

Apple cider has acidic compositions and this makes it a very effective way to remove pimples. Using it balances the Ph range of the skin and hence ensuring that bacteria and other germs do not thrive on the skin. With its astringent properties it allows for removal of excess oil.

Method

Put one part organic apple cider and 3 parts water and mix well. Wash your face or any affected area on your body. With a cotton ball apply the mixture to all the affected areas and leave for 10 minutes to dry. Do not leave long because it could cause excess drying of the skin. Wash it off with warm water.

For quick results follow the procedure 2 to 3 times in a day.

3. Tea tree oil

Tree tea oil is a disinfectant and helps in killing of the bacteria in the skin pores. This will reduce the inflammation around the acne and dry it up.

Tree oil is a wonderful oil and has amazing healing properties, and it helps treat your acne and can even prevent their occurrence in the long run.

Method

In a bowl put 2-3 teaspoons of tea tree oil. Wash the area that has the acne or pimples and pat dry. Dip a cotton swab into the solution and apply to the affected area and allow it to dry. Wash the area with some warm water. If the tea tree solution is too strong and causes redness or irritation, dilute it with water and add a few drops of aloe vera gel to the mixture. Repeat this procedure every day for perfect results.

Cucumber contains a natural cooling effect that may soothe the redness, irritation, and inflammation caused by pimples. Cucumber juice, whenever applied on the acne skin areas, helps to unclog the skin pores by cleansing your skin from the deep inside to eliminate bacteria, excess oil, and dirt.

Method

Mash one whole cucumber, strain the water, add 1 tablespoon of sugar, and mix well. Apply to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes; then wash with cold water.

5. Turmeric

Method.

Mix 8 tablespoons of turmeric powder with 5 tablespoons of olive or sesame oil to make a paste. Wash your face. Soak a wash cloth in hot water and place over face for 5 minutes. Remove the wash cloth, pat the skin dry and apply paste on face. Leave on for overnight and rinse with water in the morning. For best results repeat daily.
