Hope for Gladys Kamande 3 million raised for sickly lady with life support machines who a chokoraa wept for

Gladys Kamande’s dire situation made a street urchin who had gone to ask her for money to break down in tears. Kenyans were moved by what they saw and decided to chip in their contributions towards Glady’s treatment.

Kamande suffers shortness of breath and has been diagnosed with collapsed lungs and therefore fully relies on an oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinders and a generator to breath.

 The 32-year-old lady has braved the surgical knife for 12 times; the repeated surgeries ruptured her optical nerve causing her to be blind.

She later suffered from Recurrent Thromboembolism that resulted in her lungs collapsing. Her body could no longer support her respiratory mechanism.

Gladys Kamande needs to get treatment in Artemis hospital in India so that she could undergo surgery and be able to breath again.

A certain Ndungu Nyoroo started the initiative on Monday December 5th to raise money for Kamande’s treatment in India.

#IamWithGladys has been used to marshal Kenyans to contribute towards the treatment of Glady Kamande.

So far, Kenyans have managed to raise over 3 million shillings in just over four days; she needs Kes 7 million to undergo the treatment in India.

“I write to you because as citizens led by our brother Ndungu Nyoro, we have so far managed to raise Shs.3m over the last four days. We write the same appeal to all politicians in Kenya those who have served before, those who are in office now and those seeking office. I strongly believe that the call to leadership is a reminder of that golden wisdom, "To them that much is given, much is demanded" The best politics, is that which transforms lives. Kindly join us all in making this possible,” A concerned Kenyan begged politicians to chip in and assist Gladys get her treatment.
