Kenyans are an unhappy lot after the First Lady “exposed” the faces of children who are seronegative, born of HIV mothers.

On June 13, the First Lady hosted the Beyond Zero Summit where she launched “The Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission Framework for HIV and Syphilis 2016-2021”.

The framework identifies seven focus areas to catalyse achievement of the pre-elimination targets of mother to child of HIV and Syphilis.

NTV’s Larry Madowo sparked off the debate by tweeting on the event were the HIV mothers were seen at the Safaricom Indoor Arena at Kasarani.

Kenyans later replied to Madowo's tweets expressing their anger and disappointment with the First Lady over what they saw as "parading" and exposing the HIV mothers live on television.
