Countdown to Kenya 2017
If you are suffering from the embarrassment caused by the irritating ‘kraa-kraa-kraa’ sound your sheets make when your feet come into contact with them this is for you. If you scratch your partner when you lie together with your super-dry feet then you should probably read on.
But lucky for us there is a remedy for all this. And here are a few things in your home that get your feet back into tip-top shape
In a bucket, mix ½ cup of vinegar, ¼ cup of Listerine (many people say that the blue one works best) and half a cup of warm water. Soak your feet in the bucket of ingredients for at least 10-15 minutes. Use a clean washcloth to wipe the dead skin right off.
2. Coconut Oil
Back in the day most of us were repulsed by the smell of coconut oil especially when you go outside and it’s sunny and the whiff of melted coconut oil makes you gag or even throw up a little in your mouth.
But with the onset of scent-free coconut oil and the world going wild with the amazing benefits of coconut oil, this tropical treasure is a must have for everyone.
This is because it’s perfect for your skin & your hair because it easily seeps into your skin without leaving you greasy or with unsightly residue.
So how do you use it to heal your cracked feet?
Before going to bed soak it in warm water .When your feet become tender scrub with a loofah or pumice stone. Gently rub in coconut oil and wear cotton socks before going to bed. Repeat everyday till your feet get soft.
Mash the banana and apply the pulp to your feet. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then rinse if off with lukewarm water.
4. Petroleum jelly such as Vaseline, Valon or the Arimis milking salve
There is a reason why Vaseline or any petroleum jelly is a staple in many households; this is because of the endless skin benefits these items offer.
PJ helps in lock your moisture and helps rehydrate dry skin and also prevents further damage to your feet i.e. cracking.
Apply PJ before going to bed and wear socks for super-soft feet.
From seasoning delicious salads, to deodorizing your fridge to brightening your color -fast clothes, the benefits of vinegar are endless.
You can use this, multi-purpose condiment to get rid of cracked feet thanks to the mild acetic acid that it contains which will soften dry skin. To get the best results mix ¼ cup of vinegar, warm water and soak your feet. Exfoliate then pat-dry your feet.
